“Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.”

My 3 Pillars to Success

I model myself upon the following foundation to show others that, with drive and hard work, anyone can take control of their fate and create the life they envision for themselves.

Effectiveness

Your program must produce results in line with what it is you wish to achieve, simple as that. If what you’re currently doing isn’t helping you to accomplish your goals, then you should reevaluate your programming and discover the best way to get to where you’re going.

Intentionality

Why are you here? Why are you doing the exercises you have chosen? What does your workout or program aim to accomplish? If you cannot answer these questions, then can have no focus or passion to perform the tasks asked of you. Each part of your program should be intentional Every workout, diet plan, supplement routine, and recovery plan should have an end goal in mind with a detailed plan on how to get there following the first two principles. Be curious, have an answer for everything, and be aggressive in attaining what it is you’ve set out to accomplish.

Efficiency

Workouts should not last all day. Most of us are not professional athletes or work in a gym setting where most of our time can be spent in a training environment. If your program requires you to be in the gym twice a day, seven days a week for 2-3 hours, then you’re not being efficient with your time or your body and this violates our first principle as it won’t be effective either. Less is more in most cases. Stimulate hypertrophy and strength adaptation and GTFO so you can focus harder on your recovery.

“In six months, I was able to add 100 pounds to my deadlift and 60 pounds to my bench. I’ve had other trainers before who were amazing but in terms of strength, but I have never seen such an improvement in such a short time as I have with John.”
